Running in to *wave* like a mad thing

Agh!!  Small apology to many of you for being so behind on emails, LJ etc.!  I've been completely manic here the past few weeks (new release...and then, signing a contract for a new novella that needs to be delivered by the start of Sept. Agh! AND WHY DOES MY IDEA OF A SIMPLE PLOT INVOLVED TIME TRAVEL???  I needz my head examined.) 'tis a shame, as I've got loads of fandom stuff I'm dying to post about (tennis, Sherlock Holmes, Star Trek - I finally caught up with the new movies for both - Game of Thrones, NCIS, etc. etc.)  But...anyway, time will come for all that soon.  I hope!

I also took a video last night of a little newt in my parents in law's pond. Must find my cable and upload :D

The beginning of September, plenty of time as long
you don't stop to eat or sleep and live on nothing but
coffee and Red Bull!!!!! Unless of course the whole time travely
thing isn't just a plot device?!? (could it be a boffin at
Southampton University has discovered the secret that has eluded all
but the Gallifreyans?).

I can't get into Game of Thrones, everyone
else seems to love it. I must be missing something
just don't know what!

It's kind of a plot device that i LOVED on paper. The first few chapters have proved trying to say the least, though ;) I *think* it's coming together again, though...I'm starting to love it once more. well, a bit ;)

Chris loved Game of Thrones possibly more than me, but I got really into it, just because I love something totally escapist and epic. I can't say I'm totally in love with it or any of the characters, but I'd enjoyed book 1, then got a bit bored with book 2...but apparently the TV series is even better.

Oh yes...headache inducing, but fun and twisty nevertheless. I've had to make one of the chars a physics student, 'cos if he explains/handwaves all the twistiness, it's okay, right ;)

I'm fairly certain that my new newts are the babies of the ones I acquired earlier in the year. It would be rather unlikely for youngsters of a completely new species to have turned up without prior sightings. But it would be nice to have representatives of all 3 native species frolicking around in my pond. Do you know which species are supposed to be in your area?

I think this was a little common newt :) But my parents have had a crested newt, so I think there must be a good vaariety around here :D

Aw, baby newts are adorable. Apparently, there was baby in the pond I was watching, but I didn't spot him. Hope yours do well :D

Ooooo, all exciting stuff there! No wonder you are behind. And then starting a timey-whimey-travel fic? Oh dear, that must be a nightmare to write, but how brave you are. Iam sure it'll end up amazing as always. :)

Did I hear NCIS? *squee* One of my all-time favourites!

And I'm not watching GoT because I read the books (not all of them yet but the first 4) and the first season came out quite soon afterwards so it was a bit boring to watch but I loved the casting so I'll definitely have to watch it at some point.

NCIS is one of those things Chris and I have literally just got hooked on, ten years later than the rest of the world ;) I'm not sure it's the sort of thing I'd be into fandom for, but it is rather awesome, from what we've seen.

I agree about the TV and books for GoT not mixing. I ended up not finishing the first book, as I saw the TV and overtook, and then there didn't seem much point!!

I'm not bad. A bit stressed, but that's my own silly fault, really, for taking on too much!! Hope your having a lovely summer ;D

Srsly, am stressed about this and a bit of an idiot...though, actually, although its all from Simon's POV, the main trouble is Aubrey's character, not the time travel, so same old, realy ;)

I will breathe, I promise (and also post tennis DVDs when I get back to Soton! Am stillin WW recovering from weekend of Tunbridge Wells cousin wedding activities. you can picture the scene, I'm sure ;))
